Still life, but there’s a catch. You can only use one tool: charcoal!
This special event will have you choosing one of several curated prints that you will then recreate using only a stick of charcoal and your fingers for blending. If this all sounds complicated, our guest instructor Golriz Rezvani will be there to walk you through the basics and show you techniques that will help you make your piece worthy of hanging in your home!
Instructor:
Visual artist Golriz Rezvani has been working as an artist for over twenty years and has been participating in group, and solo exhibitions and contests. She is interested in creating a surreal world that narrates day-to-day life. In most of her pieces, human beings play the main role in telling a story. Mixed media is what she uses most to create her pieces.
Golriz was born in Iran and holds her master’s in fine arts. She currently works and lives in Vancouver, BC where she teaches at Emily Carr University, Vancouver Film School and Shadbolt Art Centre.
